Amalfi Coast Treasures | 5 days – 4 nights

Aiming to discover Amalfi Coast Treasures? You just need a few clicks to know how...

Campania’s cuisine is famous and reproduced all over the world: pizza, spaghetti and rum babà are a small but meaningful taste of Campania’s cuisine. The secret of its success lies in the quality and in the combination of the ingredients. Campania is the kingdom of tomatoes, especially the San Marzano type, secret weapon for the best sauces, and the land of buffalo mozzarella. Pasta is a true masterpiece and it excels in Gragnano, famous for its pasta factories. The citrus fruits of Amalfi Coast, the fragrant local vegetables such as friarielli (a sort of turnip tops), Neapolitan aubergines and friggitelli peppers are other ingredients to make delicious first courses. Leavened pasta and scented desserts maybe accompanied by a couple of bottles of Greco di Tufo or Fiano d’Avellino. You may start with fried pizzas or small stuffed calzones, try a delicious sartù or some simple parmigiana, taste the Ischia’s rabbit or the Luciana octopus, end with Neapolitan zeppole, caprese chocolate pie or the famous babà which arrived to Naples after the Unification of Italy and quickly became the symbolic dessert of the city.
